Family Support

Provides self-help groups, newsletter, advocacy and educational services to families and friends of persons experiencing mental or emotional disabilities.

Also provides a county-wide telephone referral service utilizing a team of clinically trained administrators to provide information, referrals and telephone crisis intervention.

Hours: Office hours 9:00AM-5:00PM; support groups held various evenings, call for details.National Alliance on Mental Illness, Orange County (NAMI Orange) Provides support, education and advocacy for families and friends of persons with mental illness, as well as for people with an illness or anyone concerned with mental illness. All are welcome to the meetings. Monthly meetings are held second Monday of every month at O.C. Department of Mental Health, 30 Harriman Drive, Goshen from 6:30-8:30 p.m. and usually have a speaker of interest. NAMI Family Support, monthly meetings the first Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 33 Park Place, Goshen. Another Family Support Group meets the third Monday of the month at 7:00 p.m. at Orange Regional Medical Center, 707 E. Main Street in Middletown, Conference Room #7.
