SUPPORT GROUPS SPONSORED BY MHA

  • Alcoholic's Anonymous-daytime meetings held at Hudson House at 121-123 Broadway in Newburgh: Call AA for meeting times.
  • Asperger Information Alliance- providing support through education, information, encouragement and sharing.  Meetings are informal with occasional guest speakers on relevant topics. Meets the 2nd Tuesday of every month at 7:00pm at MHA.
  • Autism/Pervasive Developmental Disorders-provides support through education, information, encouragement and sharing of experiences and ideas for parents of individuals in the Autism spectrum.  First Tuesday of every month at 7:30 p.m. at the Mental Health Association.
  • Autism-Support Group for parents of adults in the autism spectrum.  Meetings to be announced..

  • Family Support/National Alliance for the Mentally Ill (NAMI-AMICO)- provides education, information and support for families and friends of a person with a mental illness.  Guest speakers are featured monthly at each meeting.  Meets the second Monday of each month from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the Department of Mental Health located at 30 Harriman Drive, Goshen. www.naminys.org/af-orange.htm

    Support Group for Family and Friends of Those with Eating Disorders- Monthly meetings providing information and support.

  • Family and Friends Together- Family and Friends Together provides support for families and friends of an adult who suffers from mental illness. This group provides information, education and support.  Meets the third Thursday of every month from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the Mental Health Association.

    Family Ties -  a support group for parents and families with children/adolescents who have emotional, behavioral or social difficulties (including Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorders), 2nd Wednesday of each month, 7-9 PM at MHA.
