Services: Family Support
Provides self-help groups, newsletter, advocacy and educational services to families and friends of persons experiencing mental or emotional disabilities.
Also provides a county-wide telephone referral service utilizing a team of clinically trained administrators to provide information, referrals and telephone crisis intervention.
Hours: Office hours 9:00AM-5:00PM; support groups held various evenings, call for details.
Family Support/Alliance for the Mentally Ill- provides education, information and support for families and friends of a person with a mental illness. Guest speakers are featured monthly at each meeting. Meets the second Monday of each month from 7:00-9:00 PM at the Mental Health Association.
Family and Friends Together - a support group for families and friends of an adult who suffers from mental illness. This group provides information, education and support. Meets the third Thursday of every month from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. at the Mental Health Association.
Family Ties - a support group for parents and families with children/adolescents who have emotional, behavioral or social difficulties (including Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorders.)
Support Group for Families with Bipolar Children- Support group for parents of children and adolescents who are diagnosed with early onset Bipolar Disorder. Meets the first Saturday of every month. For more information please call 294-7411 ext. 246
