I.                   Title:                           Bridges to Health (B2H) Skill Building Worker

II.                Reports to:                  Support Services Manager

III.             Job Objectives:  Services assist the child in acquiring, developing, and using functional skills and/or techniques that enable the child to function successfully in the home and community environments.  Services include task completion; communication; socialization; interpersonal behavior; sensory/motor development; participating in community activities; conducting activities of daily living; problem solving; managing money; eliminating maladaptive behaviors.

To perform duties while actively promoting an environment consistent with MHA’s Cultural Equity Policy.

IV.              Qualifications:

·        High school diploma with related college coursework preferred.

·        Ability to work with children who are Seriously Emotional Disturbed and/or Developmentally Disabled. Ability to work independently and attention to detail are essential.

·        Clearance through the NYS child abuse registry.

·        Strong organizational skills.

·        Ability to communicate accurately and effectively in written and verbal form.

·        Valid NYS Driver’s License.

V.                 Responsibilities:       

·        Complete all specialized mandatory trainings, which include the following:

Prior to providing services:

First Aid/CPR Certification

Mandated Reporting Training

B2H Overview of Documentation Requirements
