BRIDGES TO HEALTH (B2H) PLANNED RESPITE WORKER

JOB DESCRIPTION

I.                   Title:                          Bridges to Health (B2H) Planned Respite Worker

II.                Reports to:                  Support Services Manager

III.             Job Objectives:           To provide short term relief for the family/caregiver to enhance the family/caregiver’s ability to support the child’s disability and/or health care issues.

To perform duties while actively promoting an environment consistent with MHA’s Cultural
Equity Policy.

IV.              Qualifications:

·        High school diploma with related college coursework preferred.

·        Ability to work with children who are Seriously Emotional Disturbed and/or
Developmentally Disabled.

·        Ability to work independently and attention to detail are essential.

·        Clearance through the NYS child abuse registry.

·        Strong organizational skills.

·        Ability to communicate accurately and effectively in written and verbal form.

·        Valid NYS Driver’s License.

V.                 Responsibilities:       

·        Complete all specialized mandatory trainings, which include the following: 

Prior to providing services:

First Aid/CPR Certification

Mandated Reporting Training

B2H Overview of Documentation Requirements
